1. Can you clarify what options the Subscription includes?

Upon purchasing a Subscription for Stimulsoft tools, you will receive a developer license and a standalone and online report designer license. Additionally, the Subscription provides technical support and grants you access to minor and major software releases for one year from the date of purchase. The developer license allows you to utilize the software in your projects, while the standalone and online report designer license allows you to create reports and/or dashboards using the Desktop and Cloud designer.

2. Can you help me choose the Subscription that suits me best?

The main difference between Subscriptions is the number of developers from your company who will be working with our embedded reporting tool to develop your application. You should buy the Subscription per developer seat. A build server (a centralized, stable, and reliable environment for building development projects) also requires a Subscription.

Four types of Subscriptions are available:

  • Single
    This Subscription enables one developer to use our product;A developer is a person who has access to Stimulsoft assemblies and scripts and uses them in application development. Additionally, a developer is a person who creates reports in either the standalone (desktop) designer or online designer and requires technical support from the Stimulsoft technical team. The developer may install ONE copy of the standalone (desktop) designer.
  • Team
    This Subscription allows up to 4 (four) developers to use our product;

  • Enterprise
    This Subscription allows up to 15 (fifteen) developers to use our product;

  • Worldwide
    This Subscription enables an unlimited number of developers to use our product at unlimited locations worldwide.

3. Do we have to purchase separate subscriptions for each customer who uses our product?

No. Using our product embedded in your applications does not require additional subscriptions for your clients. Our product comes with runtime royalty-free licensing, meaning your customers can utilize the software without requiring additional payments.

4. Is your Subscription based on a per-company or per-named user basis?

Our Subscription is per company, not per named user. We recognize that the personnel in your development team may shift over time, and you may transfer the licenses among developers within your company as needed. We highly suggest that you assign licenses to your developers by including them in your company account to prevent any problems and additional verifications. Doing so will enable us to recognize your personnel as eligible for receiving technical support and requesting any other services we may offer within the Subscription.

5. Is it necessary to renew a Subscription annually?

You may renew your subscription at any point throughout the year. The upgrade comes at a 50% off the original product price. As your Subscription approaches its end, we will send you a reminder, giving you an extra 90 days (grace period) to snag the renewal at half the cost - like getting a subscription for a Single developer at just 399.95 USD.

Once that grace period expires, you are looking at the full subscription price (799.95 USD for a Single developer). So, our advice is to renew on time.

Failing to update the subscription will result in you being unable to obtain timely technical support and new versions with fixes and updates. If you encounter a problem that requires a fix but do not have an active subscription, you will need to renew before you can benefit from the solution.

6. Does the software become unusable after the Subscription ends?

The license for the software is perpetual, meaning you may continue to utilize the product versions that were released before the Subscription's expiration, and they will never cease functioning.

To further elaborate, even after your Subscription has ended, you will still have access to the product versions that were made available to you while your Subscription was active. These product versions will continue to work as they did before the Subscription's expiration, and you may use them for as long as you need without any interruptions. However, it's worth noting that you will no longer receive new product versions or updates, and you won't be eligible for technical support unless you renew your Subscription.

7. How can I get a discount on your product?

We offer discounts for academic institutions and competitive pricing. Additionally, if you're purchasing multiple Subscriptions, are a startup, or have a compelling reason why we should offer a discount, please contact our sales manager. We would be happy to discuss possible discounts with you.

8. What payment methods do you accept?

We offer various payment methods for your convenience, including credit cards, wire transfer, purchase order, PayPal, American Express, Boleto, and many other specific options available in your country. 9. Can you supply a proforma invoice?

10. What is the process for purchasing your product?

Purchasing our product is straightforward. Go to our Online Store, and select the product and Subscription type you need by clicking on the corresponding price. To process online orders and collect payments, Stimulsoft has contracts with PayPro Global Inc. and Verifone (formerly 2Checkout).

11. We encountered an issue when trying to place an order on your website, as we noticed a VAT amount added to the order.

We believe that since the order is placed in a foreign country, we are not required to pay VAT. However, we understand that the VAT can be waived if a valid VAT ID is provided during the order process. If a valid tax ID is not provided, the local VAT rate will be charged. To ensure that the VAT is waived, we recommend placing a new order and entering a valid tax ID during the ordering process.

12. What is the process for obtaining a license for Stimulsoft products?

To activate Stimulsoft products, you will need to use an activation code or a license key file. From your account, click on the "How to Activate" button, and then copy the activation code or download the license.key file. Follow the instructions provided under the activation option to apply the activation code or the license key file. You only need to run this code once when you start your application or service. To activate the desktop report designer, you should either sign in to the designer or place the license.key file in the directory where the designer is installed. 13. Does the cost of renewing a Subscription differ from the initial purchase price?

The renewal price of an active (valid) Subscription and an expired one is the same. You may renew it only for 50% of the current cost of the product.

14. How do I renew my Subscription?

Renewing your Subscription is easy. You can simply log in to your company account and select the renewal option. If you purchased the product from one of our resellers, you can contact them to renew your Subscription. They will assist you in purchasing a new Subscription.

15. How can I upgrade my Subscription from the version without source code to the version with source code?

To upgrade, you'll need to pay the difference between the full prices of the two Subscription options.

For example, let's say you currently have a Subscription for one (Single) developer, priced at 799.95 USD. If you want to add the source code option to your Subscription, the full price for that would be 1,349.95 USD. In this case, the upgrade price would be 1,349.95 - 799.95 = 550 USD. 17. Can I try your products before I buy them? Do you offer a trial license key?

Yes, we offer a trial version of our software for evaluation. The latest version is available on our Downloads page. The trial version includes all the functionality of the full version, but can only be used for a limited time (30 days) and may have some restrictions, such as a Trial watermark on the report page.
